It all began with an idea.

One of my favorite things to do is to go to farmers markets. I love everything about them. The unique gifts you can find, the fresh foods, the flowers, the plants, and I love meeting the people behind the products that are being showcased. I myself am a creator and there is nothing I love more than seeing someone enjoy something that I have made. It's always brought me such a deep joy.

There are two other things you should know about me, I love playing my bagpipes and have a deep love for plants, nature, trees and all things green! It’s rare for me to go out for a walk somewhere and not come home with rocks, flowers, or some sort of unique leaf I’ve found. (my husband knows this to be true from the amount of jeans that have ended up in the washer with rocks still in my pockets- whoopsies!). One day, I found myself complaining about how I wish there was a store in my town that I could pick up some fresh flowers and plants year round and also grab a gift with a story behind it (just like the markets I love). Then it hit me, if I can’t find what I am looking for, I’ll just have to create it!

So drumroll please… The Piper and the Plant was born! A place where you can shop local goods year round, grab a plant, make yourself a bouquet of flowers to brighten your home, and pick up unique gifts that are sourced from right here in your community!
