Spooky Terrarium Workshop 10/9
Get into the Halloween spirit with our Succulent Terrarium Class—spooky edition! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll create your very own living succulent terrarium, complete with a haunted twist. Not only will you learn how to design and plant a thriving terrarium, but you’ll also build a festive Halloween scene inside using handmade clay miniatures like ghosts, pumpkins, tombstones, and more! (Decorative items are removable and can be changed out for the seasons!)
We’ll guide you step-by-step through the process, from layering your terrarium to arranging your spooky décor—and teach you everything you need to know about caring for your succulents long after the class.
What’s included:
All terrarium materials (8” glass vessel, succulents, glass container, soil, rocks, moss, and more)
Handmade spooky décor items (mini ghosts, pumpkins, tombstones, etc.)
Guided instruction and care tips

Cake Decorating Class
Looking for a cozy activity that will keep you out of the cold? Join us at the Piper & the Plant in downtown Crown Point for a night of fun where you create your own St. Patrick’s-themed cake with Rachel’s Sweet Bakes! You’ll learn to build and decorate a vanilla or chocolate cake using various piping techniques and colors.
Light bites will be available at this event. Open to anybody 16 years of age and older.

Candle Pouring and Bouquet Bar Workshop
Looking for something different to do with your Saturday night? Give yourself a little Valentine's Day treat and come out for our Candles & Bouquets workshop hosted by Lighthearted Candle Company at The Piper & the Plant!
Guests will choose one of four Valentine's Day inspired scents and work through the candle-pouring process with Lindsay of Lighthearted Candle Company.
While your candle sets, visit our flower bar to build your own beautiful floral arrangement.
We will also have a charcuterie board, light refreshments, great company, and good vibes!
Grab a friend and meet us at The Piper & the Plant! Tickets for this two-in-one workshop are only $65 (including refreshments!).
Succulent Terrarium Making Class (Saturday Class- 2/1)
Calling all Succulent lovers! It’s time to get your hands dirty with this hands-on class!
During this class, you will learn how to bring the outdoors inside! We will be talking about Succulents, how to create spaces for them to thrive, and we will learn how to put together your very own Succulent terrarium! You will get to choose your vessel (options will be a variety of 6”-8” glass domes), three succulents, and elements including moss, stones, and greens to make your terrarium come to life! Additional accent pieces will be available to purchase.
This class is perfect for everyone from the beginner plant lover, to those who have lots of plant experience! This will be a guided process and is recommended for ages 13+.
